Frostmourne

Christophe Clement trained gelding has three wins and a second-place finish in his five career starts. Last time out was a terrific win in the G2 Penn Mile June 3 which followed a respectable second in the minor Woodhaven Stakes at Aqueduct April 22, a nice win in the minor Awad Stakes at Belmont Park October 29, a fourth in the G3 Pilgrim Stakes on that track October 1 and a win at first asking in September. Frostmourne has been competitive so far and hopes for a second straight graded stakes score (third stakes win overall) with Joel Rosario in the irons.

Master Plan

Has placed in five of seven career starts for trainer Todd Pletcher - two stakes wins, a second and a third-place finish. Last time out was a good win in the minor Stanton Stakes (a local prep for this race) on this track June 10 which followed a disappointing fifth in his only graded stakes action to date - the G3 Peter Pan Stakes at Belmont Park May 13, a respectable third in the Group 2 UAE Derby at Meydan March 25, a win in the minor OBS Championship (Colts and Geldings Division) Stakes in January and a second in his stakes debut - the minor Pulpit Stakes at Gulfstream Park in December. Outside of one poor result Master Plan has been very competitive and looks poised for his first graded stakes score. Tyler Gaffalione has the mount from post 5.

Adonis Creed

Has eight career starts for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin with two wins, a second and a third-place finish. Last time out was an OK second behind Master Plan in the minor Stanton Stakes on this very track June 10 after an ugly eleventh in the minor James W. Murphy Stakes at Pimlico May 20 and an Allowance score at Keeneland April 8. Before that was a sixth in his only graded stakes action to date - the G3 Palm Beach Stakes at Gulfstream Park March 4, a fourth in the minor OBS Championship (Colts and Geldings Division) Stakes in January and a maiden score at Gulfstream in December. Adonis Creed has been decent so far in his career but has yet to post a stakes win. Jockey Eric Cancel will try to change all of that from post 3.

Zinger

Larry Jones trained colt has two wins, four seconds and a third-place finish in 10 career starts. He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday off a fourth in the minor Stanton Stakes on this track June 10, an Allowance score at Pimlico May 25, a second in an Allowance April 14 and a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Fair Grounds in March. Zinger has been OK so far in his career and will be in search of his first stakes score from the rail. Edwin Gonzalez gets the call.

The Tortoise

Kelly Rubley trained colt has two wins, a second and a third-place finish in eight career starts. He makes his stakes debut Saturday off an Allowance score on this track June 8 which followed a second in a Claiming at Laurel Park May 6, a fourth in an Allowance in March and a fifth in a Claiming in January. For what its worth The Tortoise arrives in career best form for his stakes bow, Brian Pedroza has been tabbed to ride from gate 4.

Hot and Heavy

Has placed in seven of nine career starts for trainer Anthony Pecoraro - three wins, a second and three third place finishes. He makes his stakes debut Saturday off an Allowance score on this track June 19 after a fourth in a similar race here June 8, a second in an Allowance at Laurel Park April 30 and a third and a win respectively in a pair of Allowance Optional Claiming races to start 2017. Hot and Heavy has been good against lesser company and hopes it translates Saturday in his major step up in competition. A jockey has yet to be named.

Lunaire

Has seven career starts for trainer Thomas Albertrani with just one win, a second and two third place finishes. He makes his graded stakes debut off a fourth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Belmont Park June 9, a third in the minor English Channel Stakes at Gulfstream Park May 6 and a maiden score at Tampa Bay in February. Lunaire has placed in two of his last three starts and will be after a career-defining win from gate 2 with Mike Smith in the saddle.
