Lazaro S. Barrera Memorial Stakes

The Lazaro Barrera Memorial Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race held annually during the third week of May at Hollywood Park Racetrack in Inglewood, California. The race is open to horses, age three willing to race seven furlongs on the dirt. Inaugurated as the Playa Del Ray Stakes, in 1999 it was renamed the Lazaro Barrera Memorial Stakes in the memory of Hall of Fame trainer Lazaro "Laz" Barrera.

Previously a Grade II event, it was downgraded to Grade III in 2007. Since inception it has been contested at various distances.
