HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - After going unsolved for the 22nd consecutive racing program, the Rainbow 6 carryover reached $361,926.76 Saturday at Gulfstream Park.
Heading into the final leg, five horses were alive as singles – (5) Infield In, (7) Gavel Down, (8) Untietheknot, (10) Huddyup and (13) Senshi – to take down the entire jackpot, but none could get by Sword and Shield Stable’s Theycametoseeme, a $17.80 winner for trainer Joe Orseno and jockey Luca Panici, who had three riding victories on the afternoon.
The popular multi-race bet, a 20-cent base wager, returned $2,377.68 to the multiple ticketholders that correctly selected the winners of the final six races on Saturday’s card. The winning sequence was 1-7-9-3-8-11.
The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The Rainbow 6 has not been hit since July 16, when it returned $164,483.32. The Rainbow 6 will be offered again Sunday and will include the sixth through eleventh races on the card.
There will also be a carryover in the Super Hi-5 of $2,064.83.
