Noble Quality Returns a Winner
HALLANDALE BEACH, FL – With no unique winner of Saturday’s 20-cent Rainbow 6, Gulfstream Park will have a carryover Sunday of $393,115.22 for its nine-race program.
First race post time Sunday is 12:55 p.m.
Multiple tickets were sold with all six winners on Saturday, each worth $3,108.30. There will also be a Super Hi 5 carryover in Sunday’s first race of $2,249.63.
The carryover jackpot is only paid out when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
Noble Quality Returns a Winner
Cheyenne Stable’s 3-year-old colt Noble Quality, making his first start since breaking his maiden at Delaware in August for trainer Christophe Clement, got up in the final strides to win Saturday’s featured eighth race, an allowance optional claimer at 7 ½-furlongs on the turf.
Purchased for $210,000 as a yearling, Noble Quality returned $6.60. Copingaway, sixth in the Florida Derby (G1), finished second while Duffle Bag was third. Noble Quality covered a firm course in 1:27.89.
