Brian Lynch, winning trainer of Heart to Heart (No. 2): "You're getting to the end of the season, so there's not many straight 3-year-old races, especially at a mile on the turf. His race at Keeneland was very impressive, and then we chased the Queen's Plate a little bit. I think he really runs the turns well; he absolutely loves two-turn racing. I think when we ran him 1 1/8 miles at Woodbine, with the big long stretch, it was a little soft and he had the wobbly boot on late. He fit here today."
John Velazquez, winning rider of Heart to Heart (No. 2): "We talked about it before the race and I just let him bounce out of [the gate] and see if anyone wants to take the lead. If they don't, just go ahead and take it. That's the way it worked out and he was rolling the whole way around. I was trying to get a little hold of him when I got to the backstretch and he started throwing his head up, so I kind of had to ease up on him from his mouth. I just kind of let him set his own pace, and when I asked him down the lane, he responded again. So it was very nice."
