2017 CashCall Futurity Entries at Los Alamitos

McKinzie

Will hit the track for just the second time for trainer Bob Baffert of a terrific 5 1/4 length maiden score with a 100 BRIS Speed Figure as 12-1 third choice in his only career start - at Santa Anita October 28. McKinzie has looked great in training ahead of this weekend firing three straight bullet moves, including a six-furlong breeze in 1:12 4/5 Nov. 27 at Santa Anita Park and looks to build on a nice effort in what represents a huge step up in competition - with Mike Smith in the reins from post 5.

Solomini

Bob Baffert trained colt has three career starts and has been competitive in all - a respectable second with a 100 BRIS Speed Rating behind Good Magic last time out in the biggest stage - as fifth choice in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile at Del Mar November 4 followed a second behind Bolt d'Oro in the G1 FrontRunner Stakes at Santa Anita September 30 and a maiden score by 1 3/4 lengths in a 6 1/2-furlong race at Del Mar September 2. Solomini shoots for a first stakes score and arrives in pretty good form. He departs from post 3 with Flavien Prat guiding him.

Before that was a maiden score June 10 and a second in his debut May 12 - both results at Santa Anita. Runaway Ghost steps up in good form and will chase a third straight win from gate 4 - in his two-turn debut. Joe Talamo rides.

Instilled Regard

Jerry Hollendorfer trained colt has three career starts with a win, a second and a third-place finish. He steps into stakes company for the first time Saturday having finally broken maiden last time out by 4 1/4 lengths at this distance at Santa Anita October 29 after a third as even-money favorite in a MSW on that track September 30 and a second in his debut - at Del Mar September 2. Instilled Regard has shown improvement every time out and hopes to make a statement Saturday from the rail. Drayden Van Dyke has the mount.

For Him

He makes his graded stakes debut Saturday off a fourth in his stakes bow - at 72-1 in the listed Zuma Beach Stakes at Santa Anita October 9.
