Unified 7-2 - lightly raced, multiple graded stakes winning James Jerkens trained colt has just four career starts with three impressive wins and a disappointing fifth place finish. Last time out was that underwhelming effort - a fifth way back on June 19 in the G3 Pegasus Stakes at Monmouth Park. Before that was a very nice victory in the G2 Peter Pan Stakes at Belmont Park May 14 after another win with an impressive 107 Beyer Speed Figure in the G3 Bay Shore Stakes at Aqueduct April 9 - over a pretty good field and a dominant three length score as favorite at first asking at Gulfstream in February - a race he posted a 100 Beyer Speed Figure. Unified looks for a strong bounce back in his return action after eight months away, he had a bullet five-furlongs in 59.95 seconds last Saturday at Palm Meadows Training Center among eight recent breezes and he leaves from the rail with Jose Ortiz aboard.

Delta Bluesman 4-1 - Jorge Navarro trained gelding has 10 wins, 11 seconds and eight third place finishes in 48 career starts. Vanderbilt Stakes at Saratoga July 30 and a nice two race win streak - both in gate-to-wire fashion - the G2 Smile Sprint Stakes by an impressive 3 3/4 lengths July 2 at Gulfstream and an Allowance Optional Claiming at Monmouth Park June 11. Delta Bluesman has placed in five of his last seven starts overall and chases his first graded stakes score in seven months (second overall) from gate 2 with Emisael Jaramillo in the reins.

Squadron A 15-1 - Dale Romans trainee has 32 career starts with four wins, seven seconds and five third place finishes. He enters this weekend off a disappointing sixth in the Gulfstream Park Handicap here February 22. Before that was a nice two race win streak - the G3 Mr. Prospector Stakes January 1 and an Allowance Optional Claiming November 12 - both on this track. He also had a fifth and a second respectively in a pair of Allowance races and a seventh in the G2 Churchill Downs Stakes in May. Squadron A was in career best form before a bit of a dud last time out and will try to bounce back with Corey Lanerie in the irons from post 5.

Divine Warrior 20-1 - William Bradley trained colt has four wins, a second and three third place finishes in 17 career starts. He arrives off an ugly seventh in the Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint here January 28, a Starter Optional Claiming score on this track December 30 and an OK third in the minor Canterbury Stakes here December 3.
