2017 Inside Information Stakes Preview, Entries & Odds
OffTrackBetting.com - The G2 Inside Information Stakes will be contested Saturday, March 18 at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Fillies and mares four years old and upward will be featured when they take to Gulfstream's dirt track and race seven furlongs for the winner's share of the $200,000 purse.

Curlin's Approval 3-5 - has five wins and a second place finish in her eight career starts for trainer Martin Wolfson - her first four races came on this track. She made her graded stakes debut four starts back and finished an OK fourth in the G2 Raven Run Stakes at Keeneland October 22 and followed that with a respectable second behind Eskenformoney in the G3 Rampart Stakes on this track December 17. She has been terrific since - two straight wins ahead of this weekend - by a dominant 2 1/2 length win in the G3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes on this track January 28 and in the G2 Royal Delta Stakes by an incredible six lengths last time out here February 18. She also had a good two race win streak in the summer - the minor Added Elegance Stakes August 28 and an Allowance Optional Claiming July 22. Curlin's Approval has been on a serious upward trajectory and hopes to continue that trend Saturday as the unquestionable morning line favorite. Luis Saez will be in the irons from the outside gate 8.
Dearest 5-1 - impressive Edgard Zerpa trained filly has five wins, a second and a third place finish in her seven career starts. She enters off a career-best effort - a win in the G3 Sugar Swirl Stakes on this track December 17 after a respectable second in the G2 Prioress Stakes at Saratoga September 4 and a nice two race win streak - the minor Azelea Stakes July 2 and the minor Royal Palm Stakes June 4 - both on this track. Before that was a third in the G2 Davona Dale Stakes here in February and two more wins to start her career. Dearest has been a factor in every career start, has won four of five races on this track, she posted a bullet work in :59 2/5 for five furlongs at Gulfstream Park West March 10 and hopes to continue her role from post 5 Saturday. Edgard Zayas will be in the saddle of the morning line second choice.

Moment of Delight 6-1 - multiple stakes winner has 20 career starts for trainer David Fawkes with six wins, five seconds and two third place finishes. Last time out was a nice win on this track - the minor White Pearl Stakes February 18 which followed an OK third in the minor Sunshine Millions Distaff here January 21, a win in the minor Millions Distaff Preview Stakes at Gulfstream Park West in November, a second behind Curlin's Approval in the minor Added Elegance Stakes here in August and a win in the minor Boca Chica Stakes on this track in May. Moment of Delight has two previous graded stakes starts - a fourth in the G3 Rampart in December, 2015 and a sixth in the G3 Azelea Stakes in July of that year. She has placed in five straight ahead of this weekend and will be hoping for a first graded stakes score from post 7. Paco Lopez has the mount on the intriguing third choice.
Mia Torri 8-1 - has placed in all seven career starts for trainer Jorge Navarro - three wins, three seconds and a third place finish. She enters on a nice two race win streak - the minor Sunshine Millions Distaff last time out on this track January 21 and an Allowance Optional Claiming December 9 - both on his track, a third in an Allowance at Parx in October and a second in her only graded stakes action to date - the G2 Charles Town Oaks September 17. Mia Torri has looked good ahead of this race and will be after a third straight win (first graded stakes) from gate 4. Joel Rosario has been tabbed to ride.
Distinta 10-1 - Victor Barboza trained mare has 21 career starts with three wins, seven seconds and three third place finishes. She has placed in five straight races ahead of this weekend (all on this track) - an OK second last time out behind Moment of Delight in the minor White Pearl Stakes February 18 followed a decent third in the G3 Hurricane Bertie Stakes January 28, an Allowance Optional Claiming score January 1 and a third and a second respectively in a pair of Allowance Optional Claiming races to end 2016. She has three prior graded stakes starts - a seventh in the 2015 G3 Azalea Stakes, a seventh in the 2015 G2 Davona Dale Stakes and a sixth in the G2 Forward Gal Stakes a month prior to that. Distinta arrives in decent form and will be after her first stakes score from gate 6 with John Velazquez guiding her.
Wheatfield 20-1 - Danny Pish trained mare has placed in 13 of 17 career starts - six wins, four seconds and three third place finishes. She makes her graded stakes debut Saturday off an OK second in the minor Mardi Gras Stakes at Fair Grounds February 28, a fourth in the minor American Beauty Stakes at Oaklawn Park January 28 and a nice win in the minor Louisiana Champions Day Ladies Sprint at Fair Grounds December 10. Wheatfield steps in decent form up having placed in 10 of her last 11 starts with five wins over that span and will have Edgar Prado in the saddle from the rail.
Summer Reading 20-1 - has three wins, three seconds and a third place finish in 12 career starts for trainer James Jerkens. She enters off an Allowance Optional Claiming score here February 5 which followed and eighth and a third in similar races this past summer. Before that was a sixth in the minor Wild Applause Stakes at Belmont Park June 6, a respectable second in the minor Soaring Softly Stakes on that track in May and a fifth in her only graded stakes action to date - the G2 Eight Belles Stakes at Churchill Downs in May. Summer Reading has been just OK so far in her career and will be after a first stakes win from gate 2.
Danessa Again 30-1 - Gilberto Zerpa trained filly has two wins in her seven career starts but finished off-the-board in her other five. She made her stakes debut December 17 and finished fourth in the G3 Sugar Swirl Stakes and followed that with an eighth last time out in an Allowance on this track January 26. She also posted a pedestrian sixth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Gulfstream Park West November 10 and a two race win streak including an Allowance Optional Claiming on this track September 17 and a maiden score here in July. She had been decent before her last two starts and hopes to get back on track from post 3 Saturday. Emisael Jaramillo rides.
