2016 Iowa Oaks Race Preview at Prairie Meadows

Thrilled 5-2 - Todd Pletcher trained filly has been good in her career - seven starts with two wins, three runner-ups and a third place finish. Last time out was an OK third in the Grade 3 Selene Stakes at Woodbine May 15 after a good win in the minor Plum Pretty Stakes at Sunland Park March 20, a second in the Grade 2 Demoiselle Stakes at Aqueduct November 28 and an eleventh on the biggest stage - the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. She also had a second in the Grade 3 Miss Grillo Stakes September 27 and another runner-up finish in the minor P.G. Johnson Stakes September 3. Thrilled, outside of one bad effort has been competitive every time out and will be chasing her first graded stakes score from gate 2. Alan Garcia will try to accomplish that Thursday on the morning line favorite from gate 2.

Family Tree 4-1 - has placed in six of seven career starts for trainer Steve Catalano - two wins, two seconds and two third place finishes. Last time out was a second in an Allowance at Churchill Downs May 28 which followed an Allowance Optional Claiming score on that track May 6, a second in the minor Pretty Plum Stakes at Sunland Park in March and consecutive thirds in minor stakes action to end her 2015 campaign. Her only graded stakes result was a fifth in the Grade 3 Jessamine Stakes at Keeneland in October. Family Tree has been decent lately and will be after her first stakes win from the outside post 11. Florent Geroux has the mount on the second betting choice.

Kiss N Scat 6-1 - Jerry Hollendorfer trained filly won the minor California Oaks at Golden Gate in February but has struggled in three starts since. Last time out was a sixth in the minor Angels Flight Stakes at Santa Anita May 15 which followed an eighth in the Grade 3 Providencia Stakes here April 9 and a ninth in the minor China Doll Stakes March 12. Kiss N Scat now has three wins and a second place finish in eight career starts and will be out to end an ugly three race losing streak from post 3. Terry Thompson rides.

Emmzy 8-1 - Bob Baffert trained filly has a win and a second place finish in five career starts - all at Santa Anita. She makes her stakes debut Thursday having finally broken maiden last time out. Before that was a fourth and a second place finish in MSW races this past spring. Emmzy takes an enormous step up in competition in OK form and will leave from post 9 with Rafael Bejarano guiding her.

Marquee Miss 10-1 - Ingrid Mason trained filly has three wins and a third place finish in nine career starts. She started her year with a bang - wins in the minor Martha Washington Stakes and the minor Dixie Belle Stakes - both at Oaklawn Park but has followed that with unflattering ugly results - a DNF on an unfavorable sloppy track in the Grade 3 Honeybee Stakes March 12, an OK third in the Grade 3 Bourbonette Oaks at Turfway Park April 2 and an eighth last time out in the Grade 2 Eight Belles Stakes at Churchill Downs May 6. Marquee Miss will be out to snap a three race losing streak from gate 4 Thursday with Channing Hill in the reins.

Alotta Skirt 10-1 - has two wins and a second place finish in seven career starts for trainer Eddie Kenneally and enters on a two race win streak. Last time out was an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Churchill Downs May 13 after a maiden score April 15 at Keeneland. She failed to place in three of her previous four starts. Alotta Skirt arrives in career best form and steps into stakes company for the first time with Corey Lanerie guiding her from post 7.

Bonita Cat 12-1 - Michael Campbell trained filly has two wins, a second and two third place finishes in 10 career starts. She enters off a respectable second in the minor Panthers Stakes here June 9 after a fifth in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Churchill Downs May 6 and an Allowance Option al Claiming score at Oaklawn Park April 2. She has placed in just one of her last four starts overall and will be chasing her first stakes score from post 5 Thursday. Alex Birzer gets the call.

Ready to Confess 12-1 - has three wins and a third place finish in seven career starts for trainer Donnie Von Hemel. Last time out was an Allowance score at Churchill Downs May 28 which followed a respectable third in the Grade 3 Fantasy Stakes at Oaklawn Park April 9, a fifth in the minor Martha Washington Stakes on that track in February and two straight wins - the best of which was an Allowance Optional Claiming in January. Ready to Confess has won three of her last five starts overall and looks for her first stakes victory from gate 6 with Joe Rocco in the irons.

Put Da Blame On Me 12-1 - has 10 career starts already for trainer Michael Tomlinson with a win, a second and two third place finishes - the win coming in her second career start. She enters off a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming at Santa Anita May 29 after an OK fourth in the Grade 2 Eight Belles Stakes on that track May 6. Her other two graded stakes starts resulted in a fourth in the Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes in October and a seventh in the Grade 2 Pocahontas Stakes in September. Put Da Blame On Me has placed in three of her last four starts and will be after her first stakes win from gate 10. Ramon Vazquez has been tabbed to ride.

Just Wicked 15-1/strong> - looked great early in her career which culminated with a win in the Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes in August at Saratoga. She has failed to place in four starts since - a fifth last time out in the minor Instant Racing Stakes at Oaklawn Park April 16 followed a fourth in an Allowance March 25, a sixth in the Grade 1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland in October and a fourth in the Grade 2 Pocahontas Stakes at Churchill Downs in September. Just Wicked has shown form in the past and hopes to rediscover her winning ways from gate 8. Ken Tohill rides.

For All the Grands 20-1 - Scott Young trained filly has placed in four of six career starts - one win, a second and two third place finishes. She makes her graded stakes debut Thursday off a third in her stakes debut - the minor Panthers Stakes on this track June 9. It followed a third in an Allowance on this track in May, a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming April 14 and a third in a Starter Optional Claiming April 1 - both at Oaklawn Park.
