2016 Peter Pan Stakes Race Preview at Belmont Park

Adventist - Leah Gyarmati trained colt makes his fifth career start (his first four were at Aqueduct) Saturday having posted a win at first asking - by an astounding 11 lengths as favorite December 19 and three straight third place finishes - last time out in the Grade 1 Wood Memorial April 9, in the Grade 3 Gotham Stakes March 5 and in the Grade 3 Withers Stakes January 30. Adventist has been competitive every time out and is expected to be again Saturday. Irad Ortiz has been tabbed to ride from post 3.

Unified - James Jerkens trained colt has just two career starts and two impressive wins. Last time out was a very nice win with an impressive 107 Beyer Speed Figure in the Grade 3 Bay Shore Stakes at Aqueduct April 9 over a pretty good field after a dominant win at first asking at Gulfstream in February - a race he posted a 100 Beyer Speed Figure. Unified looks to build on two terrific efforts and hopes to remain unbeaten from post 7 with Jose Ortiz aboard in Unified's longest race to date.

Governor Malibu - has placed in all six career starts for trainer Christophe Clement - two wins, three seconds and a third place finish. Last time out was a second after being DQ's from first in the minor Federisco Tesio Stakes at Laurel Park April 9 after a good win in the minor Gander Stakes at Aqueduct in February and a maiden score in November. He has been in every race so far and hopes to make a statement in his step up in competition. Joel Rosario has been tabbed to ride from post 5.

Decorated Soldier - has two wins in three career starts for trainer Todd Pletcher and enters on the heels of a two race win streak - including the minor Northern Spur Stakes at Oaklawn Park April 16, a maiden score by 7 1/2 lengths in March. He had a fourth in his debut in August. Decorated Soldier has been very good in his last two starts and will be out to make some noise in his graded stakes debut - from gate 4 with John Velazquez in the reins from gate 4.

Wild About Deb - Phil D'Amato trained colt has just two career starts with a win and a second place finish. He steps into stakes company for the first time Saturday in decent form having posted a maiden win by six lengths last time out at Santa Anita April 9. Tim McCarthy will be in the saddle from gate 6 Saturday.

Lost Iron - Bill Mott trained colt has a win in three career starts. He finally broke maiden last time out at Aqueduct by two lengths at this distance April 1 after failing to place in his first two career starts. Lost Iron looks to build on a career best effort Saturday in his stakes debut. Junior Alvarado rides from gate 8.

Supah Czech - Michael Gorham trained colt has three career starts with a win and a third place finish - all at Laurel Park. He makes his stakes debut Saturday having finally broken maiden last time out April 2 which followed an ugly seventh March 18 and a third in his debut in February. Supah Czech looks for his second straight win Saturday and to shock the faves when he departs from the rail with Jose Lezcano in the irons.

Singleton - Nick Zito trained colt has yet to post a win in her four race career but does have a second and a third place finish. Last time out was a fourth at Keeneland in April after a second, a third and a sixth respectively to start her career. He arrives at his major step up in competition in so-so form and will have Manuel Franco guiding him from gate 2.
