Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Las Cienegas Stakes takes place at Santa Anita in Arcadia, California this Saturday, April 11. Fillies and mares four years old and upward will take to Santa Anita's downhill turf track and go about 6.5 furlongs searching for the winner's portion of the $100,000 purse.

2015 Las Cienegas Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Go West Marie - enters this weekend on a nice three race win streak including two on the downhill course - the Irish O'Brien Stakes last time out March 14 on this track, the minor Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint here January 24 to go along with an Allowance Optional Claiming December 28 also at Santa Anita. She has six wins, a second and five third place finishes in 18 career starts and has steadily improved with each outing. Gary Stevens has been tabbed with keeping the impressive run going in Go West Marie's graded stakes debut - from gate 6 Saturday. She has never been out of the money in five attempts on the downhill course and is the likely favorite for Saturday's race.

Living the Life - Irish bred synthetic specialist filly has 23 career starts with eight wins, four seconds and two third place finishes for trainer Gary Mandella and enters off a win in the minor Camilla Urso Stakes at Golden Gate March 14, a last of ten in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint and a tidy three race win streak - the Grade 2 Presque isle Downs Maters September 8, an Allowance Optional Claiming score at Del Mar in August and a stakes in Europe in April. She has won four of her last five starts overall, is the only graded stakes winner in the field and off one of those wins is expected to be competitive again Saturday. Flavian Prat has been tabbed to ride from gate 3 in Living the Life's first try on the downhill course and second start on grass.

Heavens Stairway - Martin Jones pupil has won three of her last four starts - all Allowance Optional Claiming races on this track with a sixth two starts back in her only stakes action to date - after stumbling at the start in the Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf here January 24. Heavens Stairway makes her graded stakes debut Saturday in decent form having won five of seven downhill races in her career - from the outside post with Tyler Baze in the saddle.

Blingismything - won two straight Allowance Optional Claiming races this past winter for trainer Eric Kruljac and ender her 2014 campaign with a seventh in the Grade 3 Robert J. Frankel Stakes here December 27. Blingismything has placed in both starts this year - a third last time out in the Grade 2 Buena Vista Stakes followed a second in the minor Megahertz Stakes also on this track January 17. She has placed in seven of eight career starts - all on grass and has looked good this year. Elvis Trujillo will be in charge hoping to keep the upward trend going from post 5.

Home Journey - has 11 career starts for trainer Mike Puype with four wins and three second place finishes. She enters off a respectable second in the minor Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Turf Sprint January 24 which followed an Allowance Optional Claiming score in November and a fourth in another Allowance Optional Claiming - on this track in October. Home Journey has looked dangerous in her last two starts and makes her graded stakes debut in decent form. Rafael Bejarano rides from gate 2.

Salsita - makes her stakes debut Saturday after 17 career starts yielded four wins and seven second place finishes. She has won two of her last three starts ahead of this week - both Claiming races here including her turf debut, with a sixth place finish in another Claiming sandwiched in there. Salsita makes an enormous step up in competition Saturday with Felipe Valdez guiding her from gate 4.

Theatre Star - Tom Proctor trained mare has four wins and two seconds in 10 career starts but hasn't taste victory since winning four straight between November, 2013 and April, 2014. Last time out was a fourth in the minor Swingtime Stakes here in October after a second in an Allowance at Del Mar in August and a seventh in the Grade 2 Dance Smartly Stakes at Woodbine in July. Theatre Star makes his first start in six months in so-so form from the rail with Drayden Van Dyke in the irons.

Unforgettable U - Carl O'Callaghan trained filly has a win and two second place finishes in five career starts. Last time out was a fourth in an Allowance at Turf Paradise after consecutive seconds in Allowance Optional Claiming races. She does have one stakes start - a sixth in her second race - the Harvest Stakes at Fresno in October but she has yet to race in graded stakes company. Edwin Maldonado will be in the reins in Unforgettable U's graded stakes debut from post 7.
