Las Vegas, NV - Hastings Racecourse in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia will be the scene of the Grade 3 Ballerina Stakes on Monday, October 12. Fillies and mares three years old and upward will be featured as they take to Hastings dirt track and go 1 1/8 miles for the winner's portion of the $100,000 purse.

A field of eight older females will line up in the Ballerina - race 6 on Hastings Monday schedule. Post time is 4:25 PM. Here is a brief look into the past performances of all eight entries for this Grade 3 stakes.

2015 Ballerina Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Touching Promise - defending champion in this race also finished third in this event in 2013. She enters on the heels of a nice two race win streak on this track - the minor Delta Colleen Stakes September 13 and the minor British Columbia Cup Distaff August 21. Those wins followed three straight third place finishes - all minor stakes on this track. Touching Promise has 26 career starts with five wins, two seconds and eight third place finishes and enters in career best form. Amadeo Perez has been tabbed to ride from the outside gate 8.

Locket - stakes winner finished fifth in this race last year and fourth in 2013 but enters in decent form for this year's edition. She enters on the heels of four straight runner-up finishes - the minor Delta Colleen Handicap September 13, the minor British Columbia Cup Distaff August 21, the minor Pegasus Distaff August 3 and the minor Monashee Handicap July 1 - all on this track. She has 27 career starts with three wins, ten seconds and three third place finishes and will be after her first win since September 14, 2014 when she leaves from the rail with Antonio Ambrosio Reyes in the saddle.

Ballerina Stakes 2015 | Remaining Contenders

Lady Rosberg - has been very good in her career - eight wins, two seconds and three third place finishes in 16 career starts. She won four straight minor stakes earlier this year - the Emerald Downs Distaff August 16, the Boeing Handicap July 5 at Emerald Downs, the Mesa Handicap at Turf Paradise March 28 and the Sun City Handicap on that same track in February. Last time out was a third in the minor Comcast SportsNet Stakes at Emerald Downs September 13. Lady Rosberg has placed in 12 straight starts - impressive indeed and will have Gallyn Vick Mitchell aboard hoping to keep the roll going from gate 6.

Madame Pele - multiple stakes winner and last year' sixth place finisher in this race has six wins, four seconds and five third place finishes in 29 career starts and enters having placed in her last three starts overall. Last time out was a nice win in the minor Comcast SportsNet Stakes September 13 and consecutive thirds - the minor Emerald Distaff August 16 and an Allowance July 26 -all at Emerald Downs. She failed to place in her previous four starts. Madame Pele arrives in decent form and will depart from post 3 with Richard Harvey Hamel in the irons.

Amber Moon - has 17 career starts with two wins, three seconds and three third place finishes. She made her stakes debut August 3 and finishes fourth in the minor Pegasus Distaff and followed that with an OK third in the minor British Columbia Cup Distaff August 21 and a fourth in the minor Delta Colleen Handicap September 13 - all results on this track. Amber Moon looks for her first stakes win and first score overall since an Allowance February 21 at Golden Gate. Amadeo Perez rides from gate 4.

Dear Lilly - finished third last time out in the minor Delta Colleen Handicap September 13 after consecutive Allowance Optional Claiming scores on this track this past summer. She has seven wins, a second and a third place finish in 14 career starts but looks for a first stakes score Monday. David Lopez has been tabbed to accomplish that goal from post 5.

Ambleside Park - has 11 career starts with just one win, five seconds and a third place finish. She enters off a second in the minor British Columbia Oaks September 13, a third in the minor Hong Kong Jockey Club Handicap here August 21, a fourth in the minor Washington Oaks at Emerald Downs August 8 and a fifth in the minor Supernaturel Handicap here July 1. Ambleside Park will be after her first win since the minor Fantasy Stakes here a year ago when she departs from gate 2 with Keishan Balgobin in the reins.

Rather Beautiful - lightly raced stakes winner has six career starts with three wins and a third place finish. Last time out was a career worst effort - a sixth in the minor Pegasus Distaff here August 3 after a third in the minor Strawberry Morn Stakes in May and a three race win streak- the best of which coming in the minor Brighouse Belles Stakes on this track in April.
