Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 2 Adirondack Stakes will be contested at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York on Sunday, August 10. The race will feature two year old fillies as they take to Saratoga's main tack and race 6 1/2 furlongs for a purse of $200,000.

A field of seven juvenile fillies will take to the track in the Adirondack - race 9 on Saratoga's Sunday card. Post time I 5:27 PM. Here is a look into the credentials of all seven entries for this Grade 3 stakes - three of which looked terrific in their only career starts.

2014 Adirondack Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Angela Renee - highly regarded Todd Pletcher trained filly broke maiden in her only career start in a five furlong race by 2 1/2 lengths - at Belmont Park June 27. She enters with lofty expectations and will leave from post 3 with the Hall of Famer John Velazquez in the irons as Angela Renee stretches out to the longest distance of her career as the 5-2 morning line favorite.

Wonder Gal - will make just her second career start for trainer Leah Gyarmati off a nice win in the six furlong minor Lynbrook Stakes July 6 by an astounding 14 1/2 lengths after trailing by eight. With one stakes win in one career start Wonder Gal is certainly one to keep an eye on - from the rail with Taylor Rice in the saddle at 3-1 odds.

Cavorting - will hit the track for just the second time for trainer Kiaran Mclaughlin off an impressive 11 length wire-to-wire maiden score at Belmont Park July 3. She has looked terrific in training and is expected to be in the mix Sunday. Cavorting leaves from post 5 with Irad Ortiz tabbed to guide Cavorting at 7-2 odds.

Vivian Da Bling - is the only two-time winner in the field. The Bret Calhoun pupil is coming off a good win in her stakes debut - by 6 1/4 lengths in the minor TTA Sales Futurity at Lone star July 12 after a maiden score by 9 1/2 lengths on that same track June 15. She looks to keep the roll going with Rosie Napravnik in the aboard at 4-1 odds from the 6-hole.

Take Charge Brandi - broke maiden at first asking for trainer D. Wayne Lukas - at Churchill Downs June 22 and stepped up in her next start finishing a very good second after setting the pace in the Grade 3 Schuylerville Stakes on this track July 18. She has experience on this track and has graded stakes experience already and could be the one to catch from post 4 with Corey Lanerie in the reins at a very intriguing 10-1 odds.

Phoenix Park - James Toner trained filly will race for just the second time after her first start produced a nice win - a MSW at Parx June 9. Javier Castellano will be in charge of Phoenix Park as she looks for her first stakes score from gate 2.

Empressive Humor - trainer Steve Asmussen sends out Empressive Humor for her second career start - the first being a maiden score at Saratoga July 23. She will have Joel Rosario aboard from the outside post.
