Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 3 Herecomesthebride Stakes comes our way this Sunday, March 2 from Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida. Three year old fillies will take to Gulfstream's turf track and race 1 1/8 miles for the winner's portion of the $100,000 purse.

2014 Herecomesthebride Stakes Race Favorite Entries

Candy Kitty - Todd Pletcher trained filly will be looking for her third straight victory Sunday after two minor stakes wins in her last two starts - the Ginger Brew Stakes January 5 and the Wait a While Stakes November 30 - both results on this track. She does have one graded stakes start to her credit - a fourth in the Grade 3 Jessamine Stakes at Keeneland in October. Candy Kitten has three wins, a second and a third place finish in her seven career starts and is the hottest entry in the field ahead of the Herecomesthebride. Edgar Prado will ride from gate 2 Sunday aboard the 120 pound highweight.

Seeking Her Glory - steadily improving Todd Pletcher trained filly finally broke maiden last time out in her sixth career start - at this distance on this track February 9 after a pair of seconds in MSW action - one of those coming behind Hardly November 17. She finished off the board in her first three career starts but has certainly been trending upward ahead of this weekend. Meet leading jockey Javier Castellano gets the call from post 4.

Herecomesthebride Stakes 2014 | Remaining Contenders

Hardly - is coming off a troubled fourth in the minor Sweetest Chant Stakes here January 26 after a third in an Allowance Optional Claiming here December 19. She broke maiden November 17 at Aqueduct in her second career start after a fourth in her debut at Belmont Park October 11. She hopes to rebound Sunday with Jose Lezcano in the saddle from gate 8.

Room Service - most recently finished an OK third in the minor Sweetest Chant Stakes on this track for trainer Wayne Catalano after a second in an Allowance Optional Claiming here December 13. She broke maiden at first calling in September at Kentucky Downs and followed that with a third in an Allowance at Churchill Downs October 27. Room Service has placed in all four career starts and could be a factor Sunday. Joel Rosario will be aboard for the first time from the outside post.

High Wire Kitten - enters this weekend on a two race win streak - an Allowance Optional Claiming last time out at Turfway Park December 30 and a MSW on this track December 22 after a fifth and a second respectively in her other two career starts. She steps into stakes company for the first time Sunday but looks more than ready for the challenge. Dylan Davis gets the mount from post 5.

America - legendary trainer Bill Mott will send out America who broke maiden in her second start - at Belmont Park October 9 and went on to a fifth in the Grade 2 Demoiselle Stakes at Aqueduct November 30. She has placed in just one of three starts thus far and hopes to get on track Sunday. John Velazquez will be in the reins.

Valseuse - has just one career start for trainer Christophe Clement and it was a good one - a MSW score on this track February 2. Julien Leparoux gets the call.

Merry Merry Bee - most recently finished fourth in the minor Ginger Brew Stakes on this track January 5 after breaking maiden in her fourth career start - at Tampa Bay Downs December 7. That win represents the only time she's placed in five career starts for trainer Michael Dini. Luis Saez will be aboard.

Raging Atlantic - Micheal Maker trained filly has three career starts - all on this track. Last time out was a second in a Starter Optional Claiming on this track January 23 after a Maiden Claiming score January 2 and a fifth in her debut in a MSW December 7. Paco Lopez will be in the saddle in what looks to be a mismatch for this filly.

Joint Return - Main Track Only entry has three wins in four career starts - the minor Busher Stakes at Aqueduct February 1 being the highlight. Before that was an Allowance score and a MSW win - both results at Parx. If she races Joint Return could have a good showing for trainer John Servis in the Herecomesthebride.

Fierce Boots - Main Track Only entry and Todd Pletcher pupil is coming off a fourth in the minor Busher Stakes after a good win in the minor Busanda Stakes at Aqueduct January 4. She has just two wins in six starts but would be one of three stakes winners in the field if she runs.
