Las Vegas, NV -- The 25th running of the Grade 3 Colonel E.R. Bradley Handicap is on tap this weekend as a part of The Fair Grounds' Road to the Derby Kickoff Day. The race features older horses four years old and up and is contested over 1 1/16 miles on The Fair Grounds Turf track. A purse of $100,000 is up for grabs in what is sure to be a very intriguing race.

The Colonel E.R. Bradley Handicap is the 7th race on a Saturday schedule that features two stakes races at The Fair Grounds - the Bradley being the first and the Lecomte being the other.

The field features a number of graded stakes winners and a share of previous winners on The Fair Grounds Turf Course. A field of eight will be racing for the $100,000 purse on Saturday.

The Contenders:

Dubious Miss - Dubious Miss has been close in the past to a win at The Fair Grounds, finishing second and then third at last year's Bradley and then the Fair Grounds Handicap. Dubious Miss has shown well on turf courses and is coming off a win - a $35, 000 disclaimer in his last race.

Suntracer - Suntracer won his last time out at the Woodchopper Stakes on this very same track. The Woodchopper was Suntracer's second win on the course - needless to say, he feels very, very comfortable here. The 4-year-old colt placed in two graded stakes races in 2011.

Mr. Vegas - Mr. Vegas has also had some success at The Fair Grounds - two straight wins at this track including a non-winners of three allowance victory Dec. 31 at Fair Grounds.

The Others:

Others contesting the Colonel E.R. Bradley Handicap are Merrill Scherer trained Strike Impact who has yet to win a stakes race, Allen Milligan trained Heavenville who last raced to a third place finish at the B-Connected Stakes at Delta Downs, Charles Fletcher trained Baltimore Bob who, after a long layoff finished second in an Allowance Optional Claiming race on December 31st at Fair Grounds, Lonesome Street, the runner-up in the Unbridled Stakes at Louisiana Downs last September and Glenwood Canyon, who makes his turf debut after winning six times on dirt in his 26-start career.
