Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California will be the scene of the Grade 3 Senator Ken Maddy Stakes this Saturday, October 20. Fillies and mares three years old and upwards will be featured in this 6 1/2 furlong dash on Santa Anita's turf track as they chase their share of the $100,000 purse.

Broken Dreams - is the defending champion of this race but comes into this year's edition is so-so form. She has placed in just one of five starts - a win two back in the minor Osunitas Stakes at Del Mar July 21 after a fourth in the Redondo Beach Stakes and a fifth in the Great Lady M Stakes. Last time out was a disappointing eighth in the Grade 2 Yellow Ribbon Handicap at Del Mar September 3. She has a win and two seconds on this course and will have Garrett Gomez in the saddle this week - he has guided Broken Dreams to her most impressive results thus far.

Byrama - has been decent this year with three wins, three seconds and a third place finish in nine starts. Last time out was a win in the minor Unzip Me Stakes here September 29 to follow a second in the C.E.R.F Stakes September 5. She also had a win in the Manhattan Beach Stakes at Hollywood Park to follow a third in the Grade 3 Senorita Stakes and a second in the Grade 3 Providencia Stakes at here on April 7. She has won both her starts on the hillside course and should be competitive at very least again this week.

Givine - French bred filly finished second in this race last year but has placed just once in five starts this year - a second three back in the Clocker's Corner Handicap here in February. Since then Givine has raced to an eighth in the Daisycutter Handicap after a six month layoff and a sixth last time out in the C.E.R.F Stakes September 5. She has not won in her last 10 starts dating back to May 2011 and will likely be in tough in this one as well.

Missdealornodeal - most recently finished second in the John Deere California Cup Distaff on this course a week ago and will give it another try off short rest. She has three straight second place finishes and will be looking to break through this week in her first graded stakes race.

Briecat - has eight starts this year with just one second and two third place finishes to show for it. Briecat finished an impressive second in the Grade 3 Wilshire Handicap April 29 and followed it up with a couple of other decent results - two straight thirds in the Redondo Beach Stakes and the Grade 2 Royal Heroine but has struggled in her last two starts - a fourth two back in the Osunitas Stakes and a sixth last time out in the Adoration Stakes September 2 at Del Mar. She will try this downhill course for the first time but is not expected to be a factor.

Miss Mittagong - finished in a dead heat for second at the Santa Maria Stakes on February 18 and followed that up with another impressive outing - a third in the Grade 1 Santa Margarita here in March. After a nearly six month layoff, Miss Mittagong returned to action with a disappointing seventh in the Adoration Stakes and an equally disappointing ninth last time out in the Grade 1 Zenyatta Stakes here September 29. She like Briecat will race on this unique course for the first time and enters in so-so form.

Kindle - has six career starts with three wins - one coming last time out in the Bangles and Beads Stakes at Fairplex Park September 21. Saturday marks Kindle's graded stakes debut.

Teroda - is multiple stakes places with her last good result coming three back - a second in the Las Cienegas Handicap here April 14. Her last two starts have resulted in a fourth in the Great Lady M Stakes and a seventh last time out in the Daisycutter Handicap at Del Mar August 10.
