Las Vegas, NV - The Grade 2 Molly Pitcher Stakes comes our way this Sunday July 29th during a mammoth day from Monmouth Parkon the Jersey Shore. Fillies and mare three years old and upward will be featured as they go 1 1/16 miles on Monmouth's main track in search of their share of the $200,000 purse.

Derwin's Star - started the year with a seventh in the Florida Sunshine Millions Filly and Mare Sprint Stakes and has followed it up with a win in a Starter Handicap at Aqueduct on April 22nd. Derwin's Star was an OK third in the My Juliet Stakes at Parx Racing in May but followed it up with an impressive win last time out in the Grade 3 Bed o' Roses Handicap at Belmont on July 1st. That result certainly puts Derwin's Star in the forefront of the Molly Pitcher conversation.

Afleeting Lady - Dale Romans trained Afleeting Lady finished 2011 off with a very good second in the Grade 2 Falls City handicap at Churchill Downs but started 2012 with a disappointing fifth in the Grade 2 La Troienne. Since that result, she has won an Allowance Optional Claiming and has finished a very good second in the Grade 2 Fleur de Lis Handicap - both races also at Churchill Downs.

R Gypsy Gold - Todd Pletcher trained filly has won three of her last five starts including the Endear Stakes last time out at Belmont on July 4th. She ended 2011 with an unflattering sixth in the Grade 1 Gazelle Stakes at Aqueduct but bounced back with a decent second in the Wayward Lass Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs in March.

Nefertini - has been superb in 2012 winning three of four starts including the Monmouth Beach Stakes last time out on May 27th. Her other wins this year were Allowance Optional Claiming races. The other result this year was a decent second in the Heatheren Stakes at Belmont on May 2nd.

Catch a Thief - multiple graded staked placed Catch a Thief is coming off a very nice second place finish in the Bed o' Roses Stakes at Belmont on July 1st to follow a decent third in the Grade 3 Distaff Stakes at Pimlico. Before that was a win in the minor Plugged Nickel Stakes at Aqueduct. Catch a Thief has placed in four of her last five starts and could be a factor on Sunday.

Successful Song - won the Lighthouse Stakes here last time out to follow up a decent second on this tack in May. She has raced 10 straight stakes races placing in seven - the most impressive of which came in April of last year - a second in the Grade 3 Rampart at Gulfstream.

Brushed by a Star - has been impressive lately - a win last time out in the Iowa Distaff Stakes followed another win at an Allowance at Churchill Downs on June 10th. Her only other start of 2012 was a second in an Allowance also at Churchill Downs. In 15 career starts Brushed by a Star has four wins, four seconds and two third place finishes.

Absinthe Minded - won two minor stakes races at Oaklawn to start 2012 - the Pippin and Bayakoa Stakes and followed those up with some decent showings in graded stakes action - a fourth in the Grade 3 Azeri and an impressive second in the Grade 1 Apple Blossom Handicap also at Oaklawn. Since then she has struggled to a fourth in the Grade 2 La Troienne and an eighth last time out in the Grade 3 Distaff Stakes at Pimlico.

Withgreatpleasure - had a string of six straight placings interrupted last time out with an uncharacteristic 10th in the Windward Stakes. During the impressive streak Withgreatpleasure had two wins in Allowance Optional Claiming races and four seconds.
