Untamed Domain Wins Summer Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack
Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario played host to the $200,000 G1 Summer Stakes on Sunday, September 17 - a one-mile turf test for two-year olds and a Breeder's Cup "Win and You're In" race in which the winner received an automatic berth in the Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Turf at Del Mar. Even West Point Thoroughbreds' 3-1 second betting choice Untamed Domain rallied from fifth to post a nice victory in the competitive field of eight. 8-5 favorite Hemp Hemp Hurray finished second with Admiralty Pier getting in for third at 9-1 odds. 4-1 third choice Count Alexander wound up fourth while El Dulce, Follow My Lead, Differential and Empirically completed the order of finish.
