Sir Dudley Digges Wins Queen's Plate Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack

Canada's most prestigious race - the $1 million Queen's Plate Stakes went down on Sunday, July 3 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario. Some of the best three year olds in the land took to Woodbine's All Weather Track and raced 1 1/4 miles. It was 15-1 shot Sir Dudley Digges that built on his third place finish in the Plate Trial Stakes June 12 and came up late to upset the field of 13. Plate Trial winner and 5-2 favorite Amis Gizmo came in a clear second, followed by All On Red, who closed well to finish a solid third at 9-1 odds. Scholar Athlete and fourth followed by 4-1 co-second choice Shakhimat, Leavem in Malibu, the other second betting choice Gamble's Ghost, Rocket Plan, Cheburashka, Narrow Escape, Esposito, My Name Is Jim and Mike to complete the order of finish.
