Lucky Lindy Wins Ontario Derby at Woodbine Racetrack
Las Vegas, NV - The $150,000 Grade 3 Ontario Derby went down on Woodbine's All Weather Track on Sunday, September 20 - a 1 1/8 mile test for three year olds. Augustin Stable's 8-1 shot Lucky Lindy emerged handily and won by an impressive 3 3/4 lengths. 7-5 favorite Billy's Star closed from last in the seven-horse field to take second, while second betting choice Breaking Lucky got in for third. Beat Goes On finished an even fourth, followed by Decision Day, Ethical Funds, and Firespike, to complete the order of finish. Kingsport was scratched.
