Minakshi Wins Canadian Stakes at Woodbine Racetrack

Las Vegas, NV - The $300,000 Grade 2 Canadian Stakes for fillies and mares three years old and upward took place Sunday, September 15 at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, Ontario. French bred Minakshi finally broke through in stakes company - she emerged by a half length over 10-1 shot Colonial Flag and subsequently earned a berth into the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf November 2. Longshot Moment of Majesty finished a very good third while La Tia was fourth. Ladys First, No Explaining, Pure Blue Sky, 2-1 favorite Solid Appeal, and Meri Shika completed the order of finish.
