Pretty City Dancer / Sweet Loretta Wins Spinaway Stakes at Saratoga Race Course

The $350,000 Grade 1 Spinaway Stakes was contested Saturday, September 3 at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York - a seven furlong dirt race for some of the best two year old fillies in the land. It was a race decided by a dead-heat with the only two previous stakes winners - 9-2 shot Pretty City Dancer and Sweet Loretta, who was sent off as the 7-2 co-second choice claiming victory. Even money favorite Cherry Lodge finished third in the field of seven with Fun, You Know Too, Runway Doll and Special Risk completing the order of finish.
