Las Vegas, NV - Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York was the scene of the $300,000 Grade 2 Maker's Mark Lake Placid Stakes on Friday, August 13, - a 1 1/8 mile turf test for three year old fillies. 8-5 favorite Sentiero Italia posted the 1 1/4 length victory - her first ever stakes win with Miss Temple City finishing second at 3-1 odds in the short field. Strict Compliance came in third, 3 1/2 lengths behind the runner-up. Heath and Consumer Credit tired to finish fourth and fifth in a group that was sadly missing the presence of Lady Eli.
