Texas Red Wins Jim Dandy Stakes at Saratoga Race Course
Las Vegas, NV - The $600,000 Grade 1 Jim Dandy Stakes went down at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York on Saturday - August 1 - a 1 1/8 mile dirt test for three year olds. It was 9-5 second choice Texas Red that made a statement winning his first race since the Breeders' Cup by a half length. 3-5 favorite Frosted finished second with Japan third. Frammento ran fourth throughout. There was no show wagering.
