Private Zone Wins Forego Stakes at Saratoga Race Course
Las Vegas, NV - The very busy Saratoga Race Track in Saratoga Springs, New York played host to the $700,000 Grade 1 Forego Stakes on Saturday, August 29. Good Friends Stable's 8-5 favorite Private Zone was very much the best on the day prevailing by an easy 3 3/4 lengths in the seven furlong test for older male sprinters. 7-2 second choice The Big Beast finished second with Viva Majorca getting in for third. Wildcat Red finished an even fourth, followed by Salutos Amigos, Tamarkuz, Falling Sky, Den's Legacy, Race Day, Run for Logistics, and Takajo, to complete the order of finish. Bourbon Courage unseated jockey Joel Rosario in the race and posted a DNF.
