Las Vegas, NV - The return of defending two-time Horse of the Year Wise Dan took place at Saratoga this past Saturday, August 30 when the $250,000 Grade 2 Bernard Baruch Handicap was contested. After May, 16 colic surgery heavy 4-5 favorite Wise Dan made it a triumphant return nosing out 29-1 shot Optimizer. Five Iron was third while Sayaad, Bio Pro, North Star Boy, Sky Blazer, Boisterous, and Paris Vegas completed the order of finish. Lea and Red Rifle were main track only entrants.
