Las Vegas, NV - Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York played host to the $500,000 Grade 1 Ballerina Stakes on Saturday, August 23 - a Breeders' Cup Challenge "Win & You're In" qualifier for the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint. 4-1 third choice Artemis Agrotera posted the easy victory by 6 1/2 lengths in the seven furlong test making Artemis Agrotera 3-for-3 at Saratoga. Slight 3-1 favorite My Miss Aurelia finished second while Willet got up for third. Better Lucky was fourth, followed by La Verdad, Kipling's Joy, Geeky Gorgeous, and Hot Stones. Voodoo Tales scratched.
