Whitney Invitational Handicap at Saratoga Race Course Results

Las Vegas, NV - The $750,000 Grade 1 Whitney Invitational Handicap was contested at Saratoga Race Course in New York in Saturday, August 3. GoldMark Farm's Cross Traffic pulled the mild surprise besting the field in wire-to-wire fashion as the 7-2 second choice. In turn Cross Traffic gained an automatic berth into the Breeders' Cup in November. Successful Dan finished a very nice second while runner up in the 2012 Breeders' Cup Mucho Macho Man was third. Ron the Greek finished fourth, 2012 Whitney champion and 6-5 favorite Fort Larned was fifth followed by Alpha, Csaba, and Fast Falcon.
