2013 Travers Stakes at Saratoga Race Course Results
Las Vegas, NV - The Main Event on a busy day of graded stakes racing - the $1 million Travers Stakes took place Saturday, August 24 at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. D. Wayne Lukas trained 9-1 shot Will Take Charge came out on top over the reigning Kentucky Derby winner Orb who finished third and Belmont Stakes champion Palace Malice who ran fourth. Moreno who was sent off at 31-1 odds finished a terrific second with Orb coming up for third. Behind Palace Malice came Romansh, War Dancer, the favored Verrazano, Golden Soul, and Transparent.
