Sanford Stakes at Saratoga Race Course Results

Las Vegas, NV - Saratoga Race Course was the scene of the $300,000 Grade 2 Sanford Stakes Sunday, July 21 - a six furlong test for two year olds. New York-bred Wired Bryan upset the field at 7-1 odds with a convincing 5 1/4 length win giving trainer Michael Dilger, a former assistant of Todd Pletcher his first stakes win as a trainer. Southern Blessing finished a very good second at 22-1 odds while Hollywood Talent finished third and All in Blue, the 2-1 second choice was fourth after stumbling out of the gate. Jake's Magic Hat was fifth followed by 9-5 favorite Debt Ceiling. Yes Liz scratched.
