Tara's Tango Wins Santa Margarita Stakes at Santa Anita Park
The $500,000 Grade 1 Santa Margarita Stakes was contested at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on Saturday, March 19. Fillies and mares four years old and upward went 1 1/8 miles on Santa Anita's dirt track. Stonestreet Stables' homebred Tara's Tango bested the short field of just five by a length as the 5-2 second choice. 4-5 favorite Taris finished second while Living The Life got in for third at 8-1 on the morning line. Penwith and Moyo Honey completed the order of finish while All Star Bub and Lavender Chrissie scratched.
