Hoop of Colour Wins Santa Ana Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $200,000 Grade 2 Santa Ana Stakes went down on Santa Anita turf on Sunday, March 15 - a 1 1/8 mile race for older fillies and mares. Flaxman Holdings' homebred Hoop of Colour was best on the day emerging by three quarters of a length at 4-1 odds. Three Hearts finished in second at 17-2 odds while 42-1 longshot Winning Rhythm finished a very good third in the field of nine. French-bred Testa Rossi was fourth while Rosalind, 5-2 favorite Diversy Harbor, Rusty Slipper, Queen of The Sand and Lady of Gold completed the order of finish. Elektrum and Indecise were morning scratches.
