Dortmund Wins Robert B. Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $150,000 Grade 3 Robert B. Lewis Stakes went down at Santa Anita Park on Saturday, February 7 - a 1 1/16 mile test for three year old Kentucky Derby hopefuls. 3-5 favorite Dortmund did what he was supposed to do and recorded a determined head victory over rival and second choice Firing Line to keep his undefeated record intact. In turn Dortmund earned 10 qualifying points toward the Kentucky Derby. Rock Shandy finished third, an astounding 21 1/2 lengths back in the field of just five with Hero Ten All and Tizcano following. Sebastian's Heart scratched.
