Spanish Queen Wins American Oaks at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California played host to the $400,000 Grade 1 American Oaks on Saturday, May 30. Three year old fillies were featured as they went 1 1/4 miles on Santa Anita's turf track. 3-5 favorite Spanish Queen continued her impressive upward trend by winning by three quarters of a length. Pacesetting Feathered was in contention throughout but settled for second with Consumer Credit getting in for third. Mrs McDougal tired to finish fourth, followed by Sharla Rae and Dating Lady Luck completing the order of finish.
