Beholder Wins Adoration Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $100,000 Grade 3 Adoration Stakes was contested at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on Saturday, June 13 - a 1 1/16 mile dirt test for older females. Spendthrift Farm's overwhelming 1-5 favorite Beholder did what most expected and cruised to the relatively easy 1 1/4 length win over Warren's Veneda who was sent off as the 7-2 second choice. My Monet finished third, 7 1/4 lengths behind with Wild in the Saddle in fourth another 9 1/2 lengths back, followed by Grandiose Tactics and Oscar Party. Cast in Silver was scratched.
