Las Vegas, NV - Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California played host to the $200,000 Grade 2 Santa Ana Stakes on Sunday, March 16. Stormy Lucy ended a nine race losing streak and won by 1 1/2 lengths in the 1 1/8 mile turf test for older females. Sent off as the 9-2 third choice Stormy Lucy bested Emotional Kitten who finished second and Miss Serendipity who finished third. 4-5 favorite Emollient finished a disappointing fourth while Nickels Wild, Topic and Floral Romance followed in the field of seven.
