Kobe's Back Wins San Vicente Stakes at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - Three year olds took center stage when the $200,000 Grade 2 San Vicente Stakes was contested at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on Sunday, February 16. Slight 17-10 favorite Kobe's Back came from last to first to record a 5 1/4 length triumph in the seven furlong test, giving trainer John Sadler another possible contender for the Kentucky Derby in May. Kobe's Back beat second choice Cherubim and RPrettyboyfloyd who finished third in relatively easy fashion. Papa Turf, Roger Rocket, and Grazen's Hope completed the order of finish.
