Goldencents Wins Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $1 million Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile was contested at a busy Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California on Friday, October 31. 3-5 favorite W. C. Racing's Goldencents became the first repeat winner of this race - this year it came by 1 1/4 lengths over Tapiture who was second at nearly 5-1 odds and 10-1 shot Pants On Fire who finished third. Chilean bred Bronzon was fourth in the field of nine followed by Big Bane Theory, Carve, Fed Biz, Golden Ticket and early pace setter Vicar's In Trouble. Handsome Mike scratched.
