Las Flores Stakes at Santa Anita Park Results
The $100,000 Grade 3 Las Flores Stakes went down at Santa Anita Park on Sunday for older fillies and mares. It was Rumor that posted the upset victory for her first ever graded stakes score for trainer Richard Mandella by a half length over 4-5 favorite Teddy's Promise. Rumor has been off the radar since a fifth in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint and a seventh in her only start of 2012 - the Wishing Well Stakes here. Shumoos was 6 1/2 lengths behind the winner in third while Sugarinthemorning, Belle of the Hall, and Distracting completed the order.
