Groupie Doll Wins Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint at Santa Anita Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $1 million Grade 1 Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint took place at Santa Anita Saturday, November 2. It was Groupie Doll that proved her legion of doubters wrong by repeating in the BC Sprint - this year by a half length as tepid favorite in the field of 12. 9-1 shot Judy the Beauty and Dance Card rallied for second and third, respectively. Summer Applause was followed by Sweet Lulu, Dance to Bristol, Great Hot, Teddy's Promise, Book Review, Renee's Titan, Ismene, and Starship Truffles.
