Da Big Hoss Wins John B. Connally Turf Cup at Sam Houston Race Park

Las Vegas, NV - The $200,000 Grade 3 John B. Connally Turf Cup was contested at Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, Texas on Saturday, January 30 - a 1 1/2 mile turf test for horses four years old and upward. Skychai Racing's 2-1 second choice Da Big Hoss was best on the day winning by 4 3/4 lengths and shattering the course record in the process. Slight favorite Kaigun closed to finish second while 4-1 shot Big John B got up for third, three-quarters of a length back. Pumpkin Rumble was fourth while Bullards Alley, Birdsone, Dac, Mobile Bay and Going Somewhere (BRZ) completed the order of finish. Knights Nation, Wireless Future and Witt Six scratched.
