Tin Type Gal Wins Boiling Springs Stakes at Monmouth Park

The $100,000 Grade 3 Boiling Springs Stakes was run Sunday, July 24 at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, New Jersey. Horses three years old were featured as they took to Monmouth's turf track and raced 1 1/8 miles. Graham Motion trained Tin Type Gal who scratched from the Lake George Stakes on Friday, overcame traffic and prevailed by a neck as the 9-5 second betting choice. Irish bred 8-5 favorite Galileo's Song finished second while 3-1 third choice Verbouwen got up for third. Hidden Treat was fourth followed by Shiawassee, Winter and Miss Inclusive to complete the order of finish. Thundering Sky scratched.
