Albano Wins Pegasus Stakes at Monmouth Park
Las Vegas, NV - Monmouth Park on the Jersey Shore was the scene of the $150,000 Grade 3 Pegasus Stakes on Father's Day Sunday, June 15. Slight 6-5 favorite Albano dominated the field by 6 1/2 lengths in the 1 1/16 mile test with Encryption finishing a good second and Lynx getting up for third. Wildcatpleasures finished fourth in the five-horse field while 7-5 second choice Ring Weekend was eased after challenging early and posted a DNF. Allstar and Uncle Sigh were scratched.
