Mor Spirit Wins Los Alamitos Futurity at Los Alamitos
Las Vegas, NV - The $350,000 Grade 1 Los Alamitos Futurity went down at Los Alamitos Race Course in California on Saturday, December 19 - a 1 1/16 mile main track test for some of the best two year olds in the land. It was Bob Baffert trained 3-4 favorite Mor Spirit that posted the 1 1/4 length victory and in turn collected 10 qualifying points on the Road to the Kentucky Derby. Stablemate and 5-2 second choice Toews On Ice finished second and got four qualifying points with I'malreadythere getting in for third and claiming two points - six lengths out of second. Completing the order of finish were Urlacher who earned the last point toward a spot in next year's Derby, Frank Conversation, Hollywood Don, and Sorryaboutnothing.
