Chublicious Wins Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes at Laurel Park

Laurel Park in Laurel, Maryland played host to the $250,000 G3 Frank J. De Francis Memorial Dash Stakes on Saturday, September 16 - a six-furlong sprint for horses three years old and upward. It was David Gruskos' 10-1 shot Chublicious (the longest shot on the board) that upset a field that was trimmed to just four Saturday. Blue Moon Ace, who was sent off at 3-1 was caught late and settled for second while 1-2 favorite Whitmore faded at the end and claimed third. Awesome Banner trailed. Favorite Tale, Mr. Jordan and Struth all scratched.
