Projected Wins Baltimore/Washington International Turf Cup Stakes at Laurel Park

Laurel Park in Laurel, Maryland played host to the $200,000 G2 Baltimore/Washington International Turf Cup Stakes on Saturday, September 30. Horses three years old and upward lined up on Laurel Park's turf track and raced one mile. Juddmonte Farms homebred Projected got over a case of "second-itis" and prevailed thanks to a strong stretch run and a 1 1/4 length victory. Stablemate Catapult finished second, with Ring Weekend a nose back in third. Tower of Texas was fourth in the field of six with Xmas Sky and Glorious Empire completing the order of finish. Blacktype and Special Ops scratched.
