Miss Sunset Wins Lexus Raven Run Stakes at Keeneland

The $250,000 G2 Lexus Raven Run Stakes was contested Saturday, October 21 at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky. Three-year-old fillies took to Keeneland's dirt track and raced seven furlongs. Alan Klein and Phil Lebherz's slight 3-1 race favorite Miss Sunset bided her time and made a strong move in the stretch to win by a half-length for her sixth stakes score but first graded stakes win. Pace-setter and 9-2 third choice Chalon was caught in the end but settled for second with 59-1 longshot Torrent finishing another length back in third. 7-2 second choice Tequilita was another nose back in fourth while Nonna Mela, Classy Tune, Happy Mesa, Pretty City Dancer, Pinch Hit and Overture completed the order of finish. Yorkiepoo Princess scratched.
