Las Vegas, NV - The $350,000 Grade 1 Madison Stakes was contested at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky on Saturday, April 4. Barry Schwartz's homebred Princess Violet proved best in the seven furlong test for older fillies and mares at 9-2 odds. Stopchargingmaria finished second by half a length while Clearly Confused checked in 2 1/4 lengths back in third. Wedding Toast, Sam's Sister, and 2-1 favorite Lady Sabelia completed the order of finish.
