Constitution Wins Donn Handicap at Gulfstream Park
Las Vegas, NV - The $500,000 Grade 1 Donn Handicap was contested at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida on Saturday, February 7. WinStar Farm and Twin Creeks Racing Stables' 5-2 second choice Constitution provided the wire-to-wire win as he held on by three quarters of a length in the 1 1/8 mile test. Defending champion and 6-5 favorite Lea finished second with Elnaawi getting up for third. Prayer for Relief, East Hall, Commissioner, Blue Tone, Catholic Cowboy, and Protonico completed the order of finish. European invader Sloane Avenue scratched Feb. 6.
