The $100,000 G3 Groupie Doll Stakes was run Sunday, August 13 at Ellis Park Race Course in Henderson, Kentucky. Fillies and mares three years old and upward took to Ellis Park's dirt track and raced one mile. John Gunther's slight 7-2 morning line favorite Tiger Moth secured her first ever graded stakes score, coming back from tenth in the 11-horse field and emerging by three -quarters of a length at the wire. 5-1 third choice Walkabout finished a good second while 4-1 morning line second choice Danzatrice was able to get up for third. Pinch Hit claimed fourth while She Mabee Wild, Put Da Blame On Me, Cced, Adore, Hone In, Brooklynsway and She Takes Heart completed the order of finish. Student Body scratched.
